Although hard wallets can be more secure, they are more expensive and difficult to set up and use as a newcomer, so we will be setting up a soft wallet using Xverse and Leather (formerly Hiro), two of the most widely used Bitcoin Wallets that support Ordinals. Fund Your Bitcoin Wallet. Where Can I Purchase BTC?
Once your Bitcoin wallet with Ordinals support (Xverse or Leather, formerly Hiro) is set up, it’s time to fund it with bitcoin (BTC). BTC can be purchased from cryptocurrency exchange platforms - such as Coinbase, Binance, Kraken (USA) and Newton (Canada). Available currency exchange and crypto purchasing platforms vary per region.
If you accidentally send BTC to your Ordinals/Taproot address, your BTC balance will not reflect the transfer, and this bitcoin will not be spendable. Only send BTC to the BTC payment address.
