is the company that launched OCM Genesis. Metagood’s goal is to leverage crypto and NFT technology to create a positive impact in the world. OCM Genesis was launched as an on-chain art collection in 2021, and Metagood took over leading the OCM community. In 2023, Metagood recognized a new opportunity with NFTs on Bitcoin and pivoted to focus on the nascent and developing Ordinals protocol. Metagood created innovative new NFTs on Bitcoin for OCM, and focused on building infrastructure for Bitcoin NFTs.
is our premium and curated marketplace for Ordinals. We launched , the Asprey Bugatti Egg collection, and the collections on Bitcoin in 2023. In 2024, we will be launching new features for Osura. In time, the NFT marketplace experience on Bitcoin will be as good as the experience on Ethereum, and with the benefits of Bitcoin’s security. We are putting our resources into advancing NFTs on Bitcoin. We believe this will quickly grow to a sizable market that is differentiated from the Ethereum and Solana NFT markets. In 2024, we will be launching more artists on Osura, most for their first Ordinals collection. We will be helping artists create their works using the medium of Bitcoin in ways that best express their art. The next launch will be Alexis André in Q1 of 2024.
Art on Bitcoin is a new market and we’re building the infrastructure to support it with . The OCM collections are among the first innovative art collections on Bitcoin using the Ordinals protocol, and established new techniques that will be relevant for future art and assets on Bitcoin. We’ll be introducing and supporting both new and established artists on Osura. The OCM collections and collectors will have a “founding” status on Osura. Collectors will get benefits for new collection launches depending on the artist and the art. For Alexis André, the collection will have direct ties to the OCM Genesis art (traits), and OCM collectors will have allocations based on their tiers of OCM holdings. OCM collectors will receive added incentives for using the Osura marketplace.
The Metagood Giving Fund is set up in partnership with PVF (Philanthropic Ventures Foundation) as our fiscal sponsor, who can act as our depository for charitable donations as we apply for our own 501(c)(3) status. Metagood can receive donations to the Metagood Giving Fund, and direct them to causes the OCM community supports.
