# Making OCM Your New PFP

Show off your favorite OCM as your new profile picture (PFP) on Twitter and Discord!

Let's start by [downloading your OCM image](#download-your-ocm-image), then changing your social media PFPs and [profile banners](/wiki/ocm-holders/download-ocm-art.md).<br>

## Download Your OCM Image

There are 2 ways to "download" your favorite OCM image:

1. [Download your OCM image](#firstheading)
2. Take a screenshot of your OCM NFT from your wallet view (e.g. OpenSea profile).

{% hint style="info" %}
Although both methods are suitable, we recommend going with the first method and downloading your OCM images for best image quality and resolution.
{% endhint %}

## How Can I Save My OCM Image? <a href="#how-can-i-save-my-ocm-monkey-image" id="how-can-i-save-my-ocm-monkey-image"></a>

Because the OCM Genesis collection was created entirely onchain in one Ethereum transaction, its images are special, and composed of SVG image files instead of PNG/JPEGs. SVG image files are very small and vector based, so they look good zoomed in or zoomed out, and are viewable in any browser. However, Genesis images cannot simply be downloaded and saved like typical PNG/JPEG image files to upload and update your social media PFPs.

* For Genesis holders: 2 image formats of your Genesis available for download - SVG and PNG
* For Katoshi holders: PNG image format of your Katoshi is available&#x20;

1. Navigate to the Genesis Gallery or Katoshi Gallery.

2\. Enter your **Genesis or** Katoshi **monkey/token ID** in the left search panel.

<div><figure><img src="/files/IxFcq5mP1ABtnc4hzO4l" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/jZlDa2q602j6WJnK8ZMU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}

* PNG image files are needed for uploading PFPs to social media accounts, sharing in a tweet, and pasting in a document or email.
* SVG image files are most suitable for high-resolution quality printing, like custom printing a t-shirt with your Genesis/Katoshi image.
  {% endhint %}

### To save your Genesis or Katoshi monkey's PNG image file:

3\. **Right-click** on the monkey image, and select **Save Image As**.

4\. This will save the **Portable Network Graphic (.PNG)** image file of your monkey to your local desktop Downloads folder or mobile Photos folder.

{% hint style="info" %}
OCM Katoshi images are not in SVG format. Higher resolution images of them will be made available in the future.
{% endhint %}

### To save your Genesis image, SVG file:

3\. Scroll down to the **Marketplaces** section, and click **View On OpenSea**.&#x20;

4\. In OpenSea's OnChainMonkey collection, **right-click** on the monkey image, and select **Save Image As**. The file format saved here is **Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)**.

## Changing Your Twitter PFP

Updating your Twitter PFP from your [mobile Twitter app](#update-your-pfp-from-mobile-twitter-app) is slightly different from updating it from your [Twitter website login](#update-your-pfp-from-twitter-website-login).

### Update Your PFP From Mobile Twitter App

1. Launch your Twitter app.
2. Tap on your current Twitter PFP (circle icon in the top left corner).
3. This will open a menu on the left. **Select Profile**.
4. On your profile page, tap **Edit profile** in the upper right corner.
5. Tap the middle of your current Twitter PFP, it will have a camera icon on it.
6. If the Twitter app already has access to all your mobile device photos, you should see your OCM image available for selection. If you don’t, then you’ll need to first give Twitter access by tapping on the white middle **+** square to allow access to specific photos on your mobile device. Tap your OCM image to allow Twitter access, indicated by a blue checkmark on your image. Next, tap your OCM image again to select it as your Twitter PFP image.
7. You can edit the PFP image display by zooming-in/out and/or rotating it (bottom button). The spotlight on your image indicates the image area that will be displayed as your new Twitter PFP. Tap **Apply** (top right corner).
8. This will take you back to "Edit profile" where your changes need to **Save** (upper right corner) before taking full effect.
9. Finally, Twitter automatically brings up a new Tweet box that makes it easy to announce to the Twitter world that you have a #NewProfilePic! Make sure to tag [@OnChainMonkey](https://twitter.com/OnChainMonkey) community too.

### Update Your PFP From Twitter Website Login

1. Log into your [Twitter account](https://twitter.com/home).
2. In the left menu bar, select **Profile** (icon is an outline of person).
3. On your profile page, click **Edit profile** in the upper right corner.
4. Click the middle of your current Twitter PFP, it will have a camera icon on it.
5. Navigate to the location on your computer where your OCM image is saved, and click **Upload**.
6. Your OCM image will now appear in the "Edit media" pop-up window where you can zoom-in/out on it. Click **Apply** (upper right corner) when done.
7. This will take you back to your “Edit profile” pop-up window where your changes need to **Save** (upper right corner) before taking full effect.
8. Create a new Tweet to show off your #NewProfilePic to the Twitter world and tag [@OnChainMonkey](https://twitter.com/OnChainMonkey) community.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://onchainmonkey.gitbook.io/wiki/nft-tips-and-essentials/making-ocm-your-new-pfp.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
